What a great fight this would be!

Joe would catch Floyd with some of those looping shots (Corley, Mitchell, Judah -all lefties- showed that's like the only punches Mayweather can be caught with) and make him fight more aggressive than usual, and make him fight a lot (hard to take tiem off agains Calzaghe). Too bad Mayweahter lands straight right hands like nothing. Mayweather late TKO in a great competitive fight.

A prime, Welterweight Mayweather would outbox a prime, Super Middleweight Calzaghe to a clear UD...cards ranging from 115-113 to 117-111.

20 pounds means nothing when there's that much of a mismatch in skills....

I think Mayweather is an all time great, I rank him higher than most people I know, (of those who have a decent perspective on boxing history.)

That being said, I believe that saying that prime for prime 147 Floyd (no such thing btw, since that's not his best weight) would beat easy a 168 Joe is simply ridiculous

That's what I'm saying....147 isn't even his best weight...he's just that much better than Calzaghe.

The Mayweather that fought Hatton at 147 would beat the Calzaghe that beat Lacy at 168.

I hate crap like this. It's a ****** theoretical fight. Who would win in a fight between a skinny lightweight Tito Trinidad vs. a blown up Nonito Donaire. Who cares!

Of course, that would be a great fight IMO see my first post.

Mayweather the greater fighter, but Joe has the tools to make him fight.
