Marg beat what was considered one of the best pound4 pound fighters in the world in Cotto and did it handedly. He's fought Cintron twice, Paul Williams moved up in weight and fought Santos twice.

Marg has fought a lot of really good fighters, one thing you can't complaine about him is he doesn't fight anyone. He's taken the long road to the top.

I guarantee you that neither Mosley, DLH or Cotto would ever take a 50/50 split for fighting someone when they are the champions.

So why you calling out Marg for not wanting to either? I don't know if you know this but boxing is a business.

Im sorry, Margarito is taking a short road to assuming he is more than what he is, and the even shorter road to becoming everything he said he wasnt. We know boxing is a buisness, but alot of us respected margarito for being everything that mayweather/dlh/etc arent, but it turns out, thats exactly who he is, and his allegations and reputation are now without merit.

It wasnt even that. Floyd's move was business and political. Floyd wanted NOTHING to do with Arum. Floyd wasnt about to make Arum 1 quarter. Floyd still made more money fighting Baldomir and went on to fight Oscar and hatton making close to $70 million in 2007. Margarito on the other hand has made a pittance of $2.9 million total for both his fights with Cotto and Williams.

There is no comparing the two decisions. If Floyd would have fought for less than what the Margarito fight was offering he would have had a case. But he made more in each of the three fights after the offer so the Floyd issue is a dead one.
