Your opinion doesnt matter. Bob Arum thought a 50-50% was more than fair otherwise he would have never taken the offer back to his fighter. And if HBO felt Margarito was a draw based on their market analysis, they would have offered more money.

To think Shane needs Margarito is completely foolish. In less than 24 hours he has another title holder in Berto willing to step in and take his spot. Berto makes money. Shane makes money. And the train keeps on moving while Margarito sits home allowing his career to depend on Cotto.

The Reality of this is that Margarito has a gauranteed fight with Cotto coming up and Im sure he wouldnt do anything to risk that fight. That rematch with Cotto should earned him more than the guaranteed 2 million that he is being offered. This is a business, although from this article, it appears that Margarito rejected the offer to fight Mosley because of a personal issue he has with Oscar. If I was Margarito I would fight Cotto in the rematch get the big payday, then fight Paul Williams and if Mosley is still around after those two fights then he could face Mosley. Nobody would complain about those fights being lined up.

Name one fight besides De La Hoya that Arum gauranteed a purse without the network putting up the money? Arum has NEVER gauranteed a fighter money outside of Oscar. The money Magarito gets will be based on what the network puts up. And for the Margarito fans talking about he should sit it out and wait for Cotto, Cotto has to agree to the purse terms in order for Margarito to get the lionshare.

you really don't know much do you? Shane is not going to fight berto. Berto already has an agreement with collazo and oh lets not forget collazo is his mandatory. So berto is going to fight shane, get sued and stripped of his belt to fight mosley? Why do you keep saying shane would win a belt? If he fought berto it would be with no belt since he would be stripped. Berto's team is very selective and they are not going to get stripped just to fight shane mosley.
