  • Carl Froch Eyes Jermain Taylor at Madison Square Garden

Should unbeaten super middleweight Carl "The Cobra" Froch get past Jean Pascal on December 6 at the Trent FM Arena, his promoter Mick Hennessy says the Nottingham would like to defend the WBC title against his mandatory, Jermain Taylor, at New York's Madison Square Garden. Froach and Pascal will do battle for the title Joe Calzaghe vacated when he moved up to light heavyweight. [details]

I think Jermain needs one more fight before he takes on the likes of Kessler, Dawson, or Calzaghe, and this would be a great option.

wow, this would be amazing. Good match up. I would hope and think Taylor would take it comfortably.

And you know DiBella with his New York connections would put on an excellent undercard. Would it be too much to ask if HBO actually put on two undercard fights? Probably.

This is a fight that I would like to see if Jermain stays @ 168, he should beat Froch before taking on someone like Kessler.

If Froch grans the WBC belt, Taylor should go for it.

Man let's see if he can beat Pascal.

Seriously why did Froch not fight someone in the meantime after he dispatched that Polish guy they plucked from the crowd?

I don't get guys like Froch and Kell Brook, they hardly fight and in Froch's case this is his first fight in world class.

I don't think Taylor would win comfortably. Froch is an excellent fighter with great hand speed and power much like Taylor, it would be a great matchup and i personally think it will be quite even. Also, I doubt Taylor would ever get a matchup with Calzaghe now.
