Hatton - Malignaggi, Easy win or bad decision?

    Source: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/8...r-bad-decision

Will it be an easy win for Hatton or is he underestimating Malignaggi?

Will Hattons new approach of being a boxer more than a brawler as he's used to be a benefit or his downfall?

    Your take on it......

I think hatton trying the boxing approach is going to be a downfall (if indeed thats what he brings with him on fight night).

I REALLY can't see hatton (ESPECIALLY at this age at that) outboxing a pure boxer of paulie's status...

i can see him outboxing a tune-up fighter...

but paulie is born to this...paulie accepts (especially due to hand injuries in the past) that he cant be a slugger (power or not) so he has built his ENTIRE career on being the crafty/slick boxer and he's very good at it...

if hatton employs this strategy he may look good for the first 4-5 rounds but afterwards his age and binge eating and drinking will catch up to him...in the late rounds paulie would look really dominant in fight...

regardless of hatton's strategy I expect him to fade around the 8th-9th round...and due to paulie being in or damn near his prime i expect him to not slow down...

he should be able to beat hatton to the punch easily the later the fight lasts.

Hatton's best chance in my opinion are to finish the fight as early as possible while he's still fresh...the later the fight goes it can only benefit paulie who should have the youth and endurance to win.

Any "new approach" Hatton takes under Mayweather's tutelage will hurt him unless its some basic **** that Hatton can use to simply augment his natural style.

Did you watch Katsidis Vs Diaz? That what happens when a slugger is trained to box and harbors illusions about being a technician.

I thought my original post was composed of perfectly lucid English. I'll try again: If Hatton tries to fight like a Mayweather, he loses. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Hatton won't be able to transform himself into a skilled defensive fighter all of a sudden just because a Mayweather is in his corner. He is better off fighting in his usual style.

If you want to understand what I meant when I compared Hatton to Katsidis, watch Diaz Vs. Katsidis. Alternatively, you might help yourself to a dictionary.

I think he will try to box, be throughouly embarassed and begin brto brawl with him, depending on how long it takes him to switch is wat will decide the outcome of this fight

Whether it will be a brawl or Hatton has the disciplin and ability to transform himself in the ring to a skilled boxer who can outbox the boxer is the question. IMO it seems pretty far out.

Who ever looks like they are initiating the holding, will probably be deducted points, and I think that will be hatton
