thats the exact deal bernard threw at roy last january.... bernard said we ll do a 50/50... roy got excited... then roy got the contract.. it said after golden boy takes 25% then they split it... sure doesnt sound like a 50/50 to me lol..

seriously tho.....at kind of crap is that? i split it 50/50 but i gotta give you 25% just to fight? screw it i'll fight in someone else's backyard and call it a day.Comment

I wonder how the other promoters do it. This is why fighters like Margarito won't accept 2 mil for a fight with Mosley when Margs already made 1.5 when he didn't have the belts or a win over elite fighter. So after that 25% for gbp, 50/50 plus from your 50% you have to pay 10 % trainer, maybe another 10 if not 15% for manager then if you pick up a cut man for a night you can pay him a few hundered or if he's you're daily cut man you may have to pay him 3-5 % if not a set pay. Then you pay for your training expenses. After all that is taken from a fighter then you realize why they want more money.Comment
