agreed, it will make little difference. most of the 'hatton fans' are just football hooligans in a new sport. not only will they not read this (wherever it gets printed, presumably The Sun) but they wouldnt listen if they did. And the build up stuff on uk tv is making paulie out to be a right c(nt, the british hate arrogance and will show it (albeit in a totally disrespectful, unneccessary way)

That's respectful, that's all. There is too much history between us to BOO one anothers anthems.

Go ahead and boo football teams national anthems that are on the same continent all you want, but when you boo a country that has got your back in world wars, it looks pretty bad. Hatton is all class and I know he gets what the USA is about after making millions of dollars and a name for himself on our soil. Hats off to Hatton, once again!

            it aint even that serious

everyone knows there is rivalry between USA and England in boxing and a lot of other things too, it's just a bit of banter

the USA - England/Britain rivalry is entirely different to the England - Germany rivalry for example (England seem to have LOTS of rivals), it's less actual hatred, more competetiveness and banter

I thought Hatton was out of his league since the beginning, even some UK boxing analysts & commentators gave it to Floyd. When I saw a few of Hatton's fights, I knew Mayweather was just doing it for the money.

Mate the people that boo the US anthem are typical drunk scum. They're the British equivalent to trailer trash. Unfortunately a large majority of Hatton fans happen to be this type of person.

British people really dont dislike Americans at all. You guys are pretty much our only "friends" these days lol. You just get the typical drunk lowerclass idiots that think its funny to disrespect other nations.

Cortez let Floyd hold and elbow all night and would separate them every time Hatton worked his way in and Floyd grabbed Ricky. Then he deducted a point for no reason. Hatton's best chance was inside and Cortez took that away. Cortez pulled the same biased **** in the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight by letting Hopkins hold and NOT separating them.
