what a dumbass/gayass post. most top champs make millions over the course of their careers so it has nothing to do with money or fame or any of that BS. when was the last time a chicano champ was popular in mexico? Their biggest rivals (like dlh with chavez) are often other mexicans so why would they bother rooting for a chicano when they have so many of their own champs to root for and guys like marquez, soto and diaz waiting for him at lightweight. DLH is most popular with Mexican Americans because that's the community he's actually from. He actually spends more time in PR than in Mexico...

I hope you ain't talking about all Mexicans in general because most Mexicans like Delahoya. The proof is that whenever he fought in his hayday it would be a big event at every Mexican household in support of him. And I'm talking about households in both Mexico and the U.S. Just because 1 very famous Mex(Chavez) dislikes him doesn't mean they all do, and he probably dislikes him because he whooped his ass twice and emberrased him. Right now alot of people are just pissed at the fact that he's fighting a super featherweight who is already ****** rich instead of the man he promised he would give an opportunity to and who has patiently waited his whole career for the huge payaday that only Oscar could give him.
