Why Isn't Margarito Fighting Mosley?

This is ****ed up in my opinion. if not Shane then who else? I don't understand why turn down a fight with Shane and lose the chance to skyrocket his resume with a win over him.. does anyone even know the REAL reason behind this? I'm talking about proof provided too not someone's friend from someone's office. this **** just don't add up because 1 week he's talking ****, a week in which the fight was worked out to be signed and then the next week he's M.I.A and when he DOES pop up the fight is off??? that **** is disappointing man, if these guys just wanted to make a lot of money they should have become real estate investors and leave real fighting to real fighters.

Arthur Abraham is a prime example of a true fighter, a fighter who fights to be the best by taking on the best. when Felix Sturm calls him out and it seems like the fight wont take place due to contractual issues he steps up and says I'll fight him for free just make it happen, **** the money bring on the fight. when Joe Louis wanted revenge against Max what he said? he said I'm not champion until I beat the man who beat me. that wasn't about money, in fact he wanted the belt so bad he gave up a percentage of his future fights for 10 years only to renounce the name champion because there's another man out there who has a win over him.. THAT'S a true warrior man wassup with these businessmen, where the **** are the fighters at?

a Boxer who cite's money as a reason not to face another man is full of ****. "I'll take this lesser fight against someone who I know I can beat for 1 million more", sure it sounds smart but you lose the 1 thing that truly matters in this sport, respect, respect for yourself and the respect your fans have for you. KNOWING that YOUR fans believe there is someone out there who can defeat you and you just low riding until someone else comes and beats him or in this case you don't give the fans, the ones who's interests put that money in your pocket what they want to see that's bull****. **** BOTH these *******s man. you telling me you could fight Golden Johnson but you can't fight Shane Mosley? and for Shane, you mean to tell me with all that money you have you gonna let a purse split stop this fight from happening? that's just horse **** man, the fans aren't getting what they want anymore..

I laugh at everyone that mocks Cotto. Cotto never ducked anyone and even gave Margarito(a bigger man) a fight. Now you have Margarito turning down fights left and right like hes freaking ODLH. Margarito really needs to consider who he is, a guy that no one really knows outside the hardcore public, you dont speak english, have 5 L's and havent fought that many great fighters. You need to accept fights like this against Mosley. Dare I say its fighters like this that are ruining our sport. These fights should happen for the good of the sport, these fighters are so money hungry. BTW who is handling Margarito, winky wrights team lol.

Shane Mosley, at 37, is probably the closes thing to a 'household' name of any active fighter currently in the Welterweight division. If Tony wants money than he's going to have to get his name out there. Cotto-Tony, prior to thier fight, where still viewed as up-and-comings, not yet superstars. Shane Mosely is prettymuch the last of a dieing breed, the 90's era, and is still a star within boxing. If you want to be a star, you have to take one out. Tony needs to realize that he's not on Shane's level, as far as, legacy or notority. Let's not even talk about skill or talent. All I know is, Paul Williams is working to get whatever spot Tony thinks he deserves by staying active. Paul's going to **** around and have had 3 fights during the time these other Champs were inactive. Put up, or shut up.

I'm seriously disappointed in both of the guys, 1 can't force the other to sign but if they both humbled down and realize that the fans of Boxing are whats important here we could have our fight. it doesn't seem like it's Shane though, it don't seem like he's the one making this difficult. I read that MARGARITO turned down Shane and not the other way u know so I'm kinda in the middle on this, I'm just mad because I really feel like this fight would prove Margarito, Cotto brought a lot of flaws with him that night, he spent himself in wasys Shane wont and best believe Shane would attack his body u know, I just felt it was the perfect barrier breaker for Tony to make himself a SUPER star in Welterweight and he just gave it away like if Boxing doesn't mean nothing to him, like he can't make an exception in money to take advantage of an oppurtunity to advance his legacy by A LOT.. only 3 men have beaten Shane and neither have knocked him out, he had a GOOD chance to do it and he blew it, didn't even blow it he gave it away. it's stomache wrenching.

Good post, I think he is all about that Cotto rematch right now. And Arum doesn't want him to lose that title just yet.
