If Floyd Called Margarito Out Tony Would Still Run

Margarito cares about nothing but a belt, Floyd was right when he said belts dont make him he makes the belt, but in Tony's case the belt has made him, has kept him relevant until he beat Cotto. When he had the WBO title he only fought soft opponents to keep the belt, just to keep people talking about him, this guy is no different than any other fighter.

He and Arum fooled many for years calling him the baddest on the planet, when in reality he just wanted a big money fight, now that he has made a little money he will do anything to hold onto a title, robbing the fans, Im sure if Floyd called him out now he would still be missing. He only wants to fight Cotto again because he has already beat him and thinks he can do it again.

I'm pretty sure Marg is just being greedy. You dont think he'd fight Floyd in a heart beat, you're crazy.

I see you are back on the Margarito hate train reign. Enjoy it, you must love the Margs-Mosley fight breaking down.

I bet he would take the Mayweather fight for sure he has wanted it forever and now he can maybe get it if he don't lose again. i'd rather see that fight than see him fight a guy that never hurt him at all then he demolished.

belt or no belt everyone knew upon the retirement of floyd that the winner of margarito v. cotto was going to determine who was the best at 147.

even if the fight wasnt for an ABC title he would have still took the fight and he'd still be considered the best at 147 regardless.

floyd was right when he said the fighter makes the belt...

for example...it doesnt matter who has the title at heavyweight (even if wlad didnt) we all know wlad is the best at heavyweight until he loses.

same goes to the hatton v. malignaggi fight this upcoming weekend...its not for a title but we all know whoever wins is the best at 140...

margarito isnt running...if he took on cotto i have no doubt he'd take on floyd.

People dont realize the toll fights take on fighters, I wouldnt doubt if Margarito will start to show the effects of getting in tough fights after awhile.

Floyd would never offer to fight Tony.

              Thread is worthless.

Margarito wasn't running from Floyd a few years ago when he offered Floyd 8 mil to fight. Floyd passed on the offer.

No, I'm pretty sure that if Marg called out Floyd right now, for some reason the fight wouldn't happen. I'm pretty sure of it.
