It's a smart move from the Haye camp, Vitali has the chin to take Haye's shots and more than enough power to knock Haye out, Wlad on the other hand, would be easier to beat.

I guess this way makes sense for both sides if you think about it.

      1. Yes Wlad has a weak chin but his career is getting on in years and sooner or later he himself feels he must prove himself to the fans that he is able to take a young hungry POWER puncher to prove that the Cory Sanders and Brewster debacle were just flukes, etc. So I'm sure in many respects Wlad WANTS to fight Haye first before Vitali ruins him, so that Wlad can prove to all his fans that he truly is the best.
      2. I really think that this is what both brothers want because this is the crossroads for Wlad, he's beaten everything and everyone and there's no one out there left for him to beat or build a resume on, he's destroyed all the tomato cans and David Haye is the first guy in a while that may add some legitimacy to Wlad's record even though I'm sure that if Wlad destroys him brutally as I'm sure he will, then Wlad haters will claim that Haye was never proven etc etc.
Anyways as I said, the brothers probably want this cus it's a win-win in the sense that Wlad if he wins will prove all his detractors wrong once and for all and will finally get the conclusive results on his CHIN and if he loses then Vitali will setup a super fight with Haye which will be big and earn the bros much $$$ and Vitali will redeem the family name by brutally annihilating Haye in a vicious round or two of anger like the Sanders fight.

haye has no chance against vitali, but he has a chance against wlad and wlad has a good reason to take the fight - to prove that a fast handed puncher doesn't have his number

Haye without a doubt is one of the best boxing salesman today. He had the media, the fans and now the Klitschkos buy into his hype. He did the confrontation with Wlad which forced them to notice him as a forth to be reckon with. Give dude his credit, he knows what to do to make it happen. To prove it he might only have two fights before fightin the champ at heavyweight! Roy Jones is really one of the few who can compare with that.

Haye wants to fight the best HW out there, nothing wrong with that.

Your saying it makes sense for Wlad to face Haye first because he's ageing, when he's the younger of the two and Vitali's way more past prime then Wlad. Vitali doesn't have much time, if Wlad fights first late next year who knows what could be the case, Vitali might have no belt and be very past prime and possibly injured again. Vitali only has a few fights left tops.

Also how does Wlad beating an slightly un proven fighter first prove much? He'd be better to wait until Hayes really regarded as #2/3 Heavy weight.

Both brothers have said they want him, if anything possibly Vitali more strongly so. He also went all the way to the London to watch Hayes fight to say he wants him, doesn't mind who first (same as what Haye said). Doesn't sound like they know what they want, or if they do their overly fussed who goes first.

Also, the brothers won't face each other and don't want to see the other lose period. They realise that there's more chance in Wlad coming away with a loss then there is Vitali, which is something they both want to avoid for themselves and each other.

If this was a video game. It would be Wlad first and then a fight against the big boss Vitali at the end.

Vitali has said himself that he doesn't mind who goes on to fight Haye plus Haye's been after Wlad since before Vitali even came back. Vitali should fight Gomez and then try and get Valuev while Haye fights a top 10 HW then Wlad and if Haye beats Wlad then Haye and Vitali can meet end of 2009/start of 2010 with all the belts on the line. That would be the ideal scenario imo. Plus if Haye loses either fight then the Klit's get what they want as they would then hold every single HW title.
