i gotta say i agree with roach on this one. older fighters should never come down in weight.. he may look good physically, but the body can't stand that fluctuation of weight at such a late stage of his career. somebody please tell me when oscar last looked good in a fight against a top fighter for a full 12 rounds. oscar will look good for about 5 rounds after that manny will embarass him. if you are smart, don't order the fight because you will definitely want your money back !!!

It is true that older fighters coming down in weight can be a bad idea, but the examples of it being a bad idea are Tarver, Jones, and Chris Byrd. All of those fighters dropped a massive amount of weight, in the area of 20-30 lbs. Going down from 154 to 147 isn't nearly as extreme. Shane Mosely has looked a lot better at 147 than he did at 154, even though it looks like he is now starting to fade a bit with age.

That's true, plus Tarver and Jones had to drop a TON of weight, which was obvioulsy done in an unhealthy manner. Chris Bryd was going to LHW when he was used to fighting slower Heavyweights, and the speed was his problem. Oscar's fought fast guys, strong guys, etc. He can handle the move down.

weighing 145lbs this early is a disaster for oscar. how much strenght does he have on dec. 6? if pac weighs 150 at fight night and oscar is 145, that would be disaster for the olden boy.
