defense is years better, and pbf dosnt leave himself open when he throws.

Joe Calzaghe is better than Mayweather in every way. He beat the best in his division:Kessler, Eubank, Brewer, Lacy etc.

Mayweather retired because he was afraid to fight a prime welterweight like Margarito or Cotto.
