    Ricky Hatton an All-Time Great?

If Ricky had avoided Floyd Mayweather Jr. and had fought Aaron Pryor and Julio Cesar Chavez instead....could he have been an All-Time Great?

Damn you , Ricky! Why'd you have to man up and fight the #1 p4p best in the world a division above your weight class? Why'd you risk and lose your 0?

We could have dug up Pryor and Chavez for you and you could have been the greatest of all time!

you might be right......BUT some are saying Joe Calzaghe is an ATG...... is Joe's resume that much better than Ricky's?

one could say that beating a 35 yr. old tszyu is a better win than beating a 43 yr. old hopkins......AND he won by tko in a great fight not by sd.

one could also say that beating a shot roy jones jr. is not much better than beating a shot jose luis castillo......at least the castillo fight was just a showcase fight to let the american public see ricky against a big name and to set up a bigger fight for ricky down the road. what was the roy fight for? for calzaghe's legacy? lmao

only difference between ricky and joe is while joe has his 0......ricky has 1 loss.

that one loss was against the #1 p4p fighter in the world at a weight above his natural weight division.

what's joe's toughest fight? biggest fight? a past prime eubank? robin reid?

Tszyu retired after Hatton hopkins went on to destroy Kelly Pavlik.

i also have his wins over Kessler and Eubank over any of Rickys wins. calzaghe has also been a champion for 12yrs and 26-0 in title fights.

kostya was 35 and while no longer prime was still very good. much like hopkins. except kostya hadn't lost in years and had just ktfo a top 3-4 140 guy the fight before.

hopkins lost 2 straight fights to jermain taylor earlier. jermain taylor an atg?

if you're gonna count joe's wbo belt then might as well count ricky's wbu belt he won 7-8 years ago and defended multiple times. the wbo when joe held it was not very highly regarded at the time.

beating eubank and kessler that much better than beating vince phillips or ray oliveira or ben tackie or juan lazcano?

tell me. how much better are those wins?

Good post. I don't think the Calzaghe fans will understand though.
