How embarrassing will it be if Oscar loses to Pacquiao?

    Think about it.
If Manny loses there's no shame in it.
He fought a much bigger opponent and gave it all he had.

However, if Oscar loses this fight? That's a different story.
I think if I was Oscar and lost to Pacquiao.. I would probably go hide under a rock, never show my face in public again and come out at night wearing a hooded robe.. not really, but ya feel me? lol

Oscar has just about every advantage in this fight though.
    Height,
    Reach,
    Weight,
    Experience,
    Skill,
Dundee and Nacho in his corner,
    etc

The only thing that Manny has that Oscar doesn't is speed..
that and probably more heart.. Oscar's inactivity also works for Manny.

Now, I've been a De La Hoya fan since I was a boy but his recent decisions have really disappointed me and have really made me nod my head in disgust.
I think Oscar wins this fight.. but I dunno.. I'll probably be rooting for Manny on this one. I don't like Manny but I can't help but feel for him on this one.

Oscar can't lose this fight though.. if he does it will look very horrible on his part. It will be a big embarrassment to what's left of his record, as a person and a fighter.

It is definately a no-win situation for Oscar from a legacy standpoint. Having said that it is a win-win financially. Whoever wins it sets up a monster fight with Mayweather next year.

As long as Atlas doesn't pic Oscar, then I won't have to worry about him losing.

Mayweather has said he wont be fighting in '08 or '09 though..
I'm not just going to assume he is coming back either.
He hasn't really shown signs of wanting to.

I wouldn't want to see a Mayweather v. De La Hoya II.
One fight was enough.. No need for a second.

If Mayweather does come back, I hope it's against Margarito or Cotto.

It'd look very bad if he loses to Pacquiao.

It will not be embarassing for Oscar. He's never been embarassed before. It will just be a situation where Oscar does not have it anymore and Manny elevating himself higher in his status as one of the best fighters of our era.

Manny should give the RJJ speech "...but if he loses"

No matter who wins, if it's FOTY stuff they both dish out, then all will be forgiven.
