Barrett said Haye hits harder than Wlad!

Maybe its just me, but Haye's power against Barrett seemed off the charts. He knocked Barrett down with punches that merely grazed him, he knocked him down without even getting set (or so it appeared). From what I can tell, Haye has absolute dynamite in his hands even at hw, and can knock people down and out with virtually any punch.
I watched the fight on an internet stream though, and although the quality was good perhaps I saw things weren't there. But based on what I saw, I could easily believe he hits as hard as Wladimir.
If he can stay on his feet for a few rounds, I can easily see Haye beating Wlad by knockout. All it will take is one decent punch, all he has to do is slip Wlads Jab once and land anything decent.
I can't see Haye beating Vitali though, due to his chin. If Haye's people are smart, he will pursue Wladimir. If the klitschkos are smart, they will put Vitali first in line.Comment

It seems like he does have plenty of power in his hands. I cant remember who it was against but remember seein Haye just throw an awesome hook and creamed the man in about 30seconds. It was an awesome punch and landed right on the button.Comment

post a link where barret says haye hits harder. Ive yet to see any documentation on this. haye does hit hard but I cant see how he'd hit as hard or harder than the 6'6 240 lb wlad who also throws with maximum leverage and good speed and accuracyLast edited by beez721; 11-17-2008, 09:58 PM.Comment

haye is an obvious very good puncher but you also have to take into account that barret wasnt exactly good chinned. he was flattened by light hitting cliff couser and valuev who also isnt a big puncher and he is now 37 which certainly isnt going to make his chin any better. lets see him kayo a durable heavyweight before we rate him as big or bigger puncher than wald who's knocked out a lot of semi durable and durable fighters. I was impressed with haye's offense though. I look forward to seeing him again. explosive guyMaybe its just me, but Haye's power against Barrett seemed off the charts.
