thank you. me being a fighter who prides himself at looking great in the ring in all aspects, there isn't a fighter that i've seen in pro boxing for 3 decades who is as gifted and fluid overall than floyd jr., no fighter. seeing as i watched his amateur fights a lot and watched all of his pro fights, i mean, from him countering off of a block to his feinting jab, to his fighting off of the ropes and movement, especially his upperbody movement, this kid is boxing at it's best, the spokesperson for an true great in boxing. i justed watched his fights with gatti, corley, de la hoya and jukko last night, and he used different tactics in all of those fights, but looked damn near perfect in all of those fights in different ways. he throws left hooks to the body amazingly like he did with corrales and gatti and his left hook counter against gatti was just one of the best i've seen, ever. i mean he landed jumping backwards folks. this is how i watch fights, extensively, in slow motion, watching almost every move, and floyd moves loke no other fighter i've ever seen. roy jones was so dynamic a fighter in his prime, but overall technical brilliance goes to floyd jr, no competion. he was rarely ever sloppy in his fights, very rarely. his stamina was superb, his ****ing stance stood out from the rest. floyd was the truth as a fighter and i miss him dearly even though i believe he will fight again.
i have to point out his combination punching also as the combos he landed in the gatti and corley fights were so dynamic and perfectly landed. just go back and watch rd 6 of gatti.mayweather, and round 10 and 8 of mayweather/corley to see my point.
anyway, i also appreciated his training techniques with his flashy jump rope routine, not like any other in boxing, the best trained fighter in pro boxing imo, with his padwork, heavybag training, and his sit-up routine where he stands up, just a genius in training, floyd, forget the hate, your craft was the truth.Comment

co-sign...
the main reason i didnt really like floyd overall is because i felt he took easy fights (like the hatton fight; etc.)
but lately there hasnt been that level of excitement that there was last year...
pacman v. oscar and cotto v. margarito is as big as its gotten this year for the most part (in terms of megafights people get excited about BEFORE hand)...i mean we've had other exciting fights but not with the pre-fight buzz.
floyd was great in that aspect...whether you knew he was going to blow someone out or not or if it was going to be an easy fight you wanted to tune in just to see what happened.
floyd is young and i believe he's coming back...
the option of fighting the winner of pacman/oscar with all that money at stake i believe will be too big of a temptation for floyd and he'll take that fight.Comment
