Simple fact is I've now got a wicked broadband connection and streaming has vastly improved over the last 3 years.

I now hook up my laptop to my TV and watch either Justin.tv, TVants or a few others loaded on my taskbar incase another goes down.

OK the quality isn't great sometimes, however it's only going to get better as brandband connections become ******ly fast and we enter 100mb age.

If a PPV fight was £5 as opposed to £15 I wouldn't bother with the Internet, but seen as those these fcukers prefer to rip me off by charging me a subscription cost (yet flood me with fcuking adverts inbetween rounds)...then bump an extra £15 on top to watch the fight...forget it.

The Internet will be the death of PPV, and that's a sure thing!
Would you gamble on it? A ****ty undercard and a main event which might be a one sided beat down...Pac/Diaz, Calzaghe, RJJ...Know what I mean? Last PPV's I bought was

    B-Hop vs Pavlik
    Margarito vs Cotto
    Mayweather vs Hatton
    Mayweather vs DLH

Which in my opinion was worth it but I ain't interested in the upcoming fights.

There's not enough internet geeks searching from streams online to watch a ****ty quality ppv fight on a little screen. You'll come to find people like you are a minority and the vast majority will continue to buy ppv's. Don king had somewhat success putting a card on his website but it was professionaly done, with great quality, sound and no lag or buffering, but even that wouldn't kill ppv. I don't necessarly like all the PPV's, but it's here and hbo, setanta, and these promoters have enough money to shut all these streams down at will.

they've been shutting down streams lately... so much so that I doubt we will get a pac/dlh stream

I have a 15Mbit connection here. 100Mb connections are long off here.

Everywhere else in the world seem to be farther ahead when it comes to the internet.

In the UK the government are looking into leading Europe..bumping net connections to 100mb which is going to be sick.

But at the end of the day your connection is only as good as the server you're downloading from.

the bandwidth needed to stream a true high definition live broadcast is pretty high.

if i don't buy a PPV, i don't go for a bad quality stream, i prefer to wait a few hours and download a good quality *******

The sad thing is without PPV buys, we won't get the good boxing matchups

Have you seen BBC iPlayer? the quality is quite good. It's only a matter of time before they're streaming DVD quality. HD will come within the next decade me thinks.

Streming is a form of theft. I pay if someone will let me, otherwise I stream. I paid 500 kr (£50?) for Kessler-Calzaghe. Too expensive but still worth it since I bought it.
