Jermain Taylor - Future Opportunities, and Possibilities

Last Saturday night in Nashville, Jermain Taylor pummeled one of his friends, Jeff Lacy, on route to winning a one-sided unanimous twelve round decision. Taylor’s official debut in the super middleweight division has opened up a lot of possibilities for 2009. After losing back to back bouts to Kelly Pavlik, the win over Lacy was just the kind of confidence booster that Taylor needed to get back on his feet. [details]

Kessler seems the post possible of the unlikely listed. Bute would need to fight Taylor so his rep doesn't decrease anymore from not giving Andrade immediate rematch.

If he wouldint fight Kessler...why wouldint Chad Dawson call out Kessler???
He could make some big money if he went to Denmark...or be paid a little less should the fight be in Las Vegas...all I know is that Kessler needs someone big soon...in America.

Chad has called out Kess. Mikkel's people did not want it. "Dawson doesn't bring enough to the table" they said.

I dunno if it's such a good idea for Kess to come to America... the last time he was over here, he killed a guy:

i dont think kess wanted to go up to SMW just yet but he will do soon.

i think JT should look to take on another name at SMW - theres plenty out there; miranda, froch/pascal, bute.

like someone said above though the fight with kess is the one to look out for, i dont see it happening yet but if kess can hold onto his belts then its just a matter of time before JT comes calling.

JT will become a champ again someday in SMW division.....

I love to see him fight again against top fighters of SMW.

Taylor will probably fight the Froch/Pascal winner. A fight with Kessler would be great and I think Taylor would batter him, but it won't happen. Kessler pulled out of the fight with Edison Miranda which Lou Dibella ended up promoting. No way Dibella does another fight agreement with Kessler's promo team. Kessler will be stuck at home fighting more no names.
