I've said that a while back and its true. Its been an on going trend American boxer seem to be more defensive. I see some of these amature boxing videos people post up and you see some of them trying to be pretty by be too defensive. Right now many fighters have the Roy/Floyd type fighting style where its defence first. Now im not hateing on defensive fighters but there fighters who are defensive and can still fight for the crowd and it should be an equal amount of defence/fighting. Some boxers get a high from making guys miss 3 punch but then they don't retaliate and that defensive move gets wasted.

I'm not sure if you want a UFC type crowd. Loud, drunk, rednecks with ADD is hardly the demographic I want watching boxing with me.

Fighters like Tyson are the only thing capable of drawing the average violence-craving viewer in boxing.

I notice this a lot at the UK events too. When Haye and Hatton fight they bring a great, lively and energetic crowd with them.

Question is how does boxing in the USA draw that kind of excitement?
why do you want to turn the art of boxing into **** fighting.

anyway...a good start was haye vs barrett

Boxing doesnt NOT need the UFC crowd. This crowd does not appreciate the complexity and strategical tactfulness of boxing. This crowd would be booing fights left and right.

thats what i was thinking.... we need some exciting fighters like that........ also keep in mind that Europe really hasnt had many fighters like Hatton and Haye have the success they've had over here in america (i.e. winning respected titles like WBC, Ring, WBA, etc.)......... over here we're kinda used to it cuz most champions are from america
