so whats next for jeff lacey?

He has a reason to retire, he only won one round against an elite fighter (taylor) and that round was still close. But he did deserve that knockdown, I didn't see him trip up taylor because it didn't happen. What I saw was taylor turning his head and jeff accidently hitting the back side of taylors head. Which still counts as a knock down, so the ref did a **** job last night.

You and I may see that as a reason, but will he? Or will he see it as a reason to keep fighting on FNF cards, maybe looking OK but taking more damage in the process?

And KD or not, wouldn't have changed anything if it was scored that way or not. I need to go back and watch it on the DVR though.

Lacy is struggling man. It sucks to see him look so bad. He can still make a living fighting guys on ESPN cards in fun fights. He was always overhyped, but he was never this bad. Not bad enough to struggle with clubfighters on ESPN, and barely beat Manfredo.

I posted this awhile ago, the JC fight totally changed him i think. He hasn't been anything like he used to be since then. He took 12 round battering which can't be good for the reflexes or confidence.

He has reached his pinnacle in boxing. there is nothing that he can do to salvage his "career". Strong fighter yes...but with limited boxing abilities. lacy can assert himself by becoming a bonafied "sparring partner" for other fighters.

Why do you guys think Lacey is a bum now? was lacy overrated or is it cause he took a world class beating from JC
