Are you fuggin kidding me? Margarito is not THE champion. He is one of the the champions. Berto, Clottey, and prior to Williams moving up, he was a champion. Cotto might have been the most recognized champion, but was not considered the Ring champ.

You are comical. The only time anyone besides Williams expressed any interest in fighting Margarito was after Arum made Mayweather the offer of $8 million. Williams was in fact the only one who called him out prior to. And I noticed you said Margarito brings the most money. The most Margarito has made for a fight was the $1.6 million he made for fighting Williams. Maragrito made $1.3 million for fighting Cotto. He brings no PPV revenue or Gate money. The ONLY fight he has headlined on PPV was his fight with Cotto and we all know who was the draw.

Williams has offered him a career high payday. I have show evidence of it. End of discussion. he's a beeeyotch.

Clottey was in negotiations to fight him and what happened? THERE WASNT ENOUGH MONEY BEING OFFERED FOR THE FIGHT. Find me another article of another fighter saying "I want Margarito"

That fight was being negotiated but the talks fell through. Winky, who is one of my favorite fighters, has pretty much ****canned his career demanding the lionshare of the purse of his fights.

Why should we give a **** what a fighter makes $$ or don't make $$ in a fight as an excuse. All we should really give a **** about is them fighting. Yes, unfortunately money is the main reason a fight gets made or not. There has to be something in it for everyone I suppose, especially the greedy promoters. Damn shame!! Probably the reason alot of fights don't get made and some of them (DLH VS Pac) do!!

Cotto alone couldn't seel out the MGM i promise you that, **** it was 8-2 in favor of mexicans to pr's at the MGM that night if you there wouldn't be saying the ****** **** you do. lets also remember margarito headlined a ppv card against cintron at the cesaers palace which was also a sell out. Williams is still fighting inside small indian casino resorts in the middle of no where with fans sitting on folding chairs. I seen williams fight twice here in Leemoore not too long ago and looks like he hasn't been able to move on from venues like that. That's why he needs margarito, he needs him bad. When margarito fought williams margarito hadn't fought in california in 5 YEARS while on the othe hand williams fought 6 of his last 9 fights in california yet when they fought in california who was the draw? yeah you guessed it margarito was were you there? probably not or you would know this. let's compare the venues of these fighters
