And what do businesses do, to make sure that they're on top of other business.
Why would the fighters/promoters be competing if they are all under the same promotional banner?? Being the top business has nothing to do with milking fighters for all they are worth and then spitting them out, which is what boxing promoters have been doing for over a century.

I am personally excited about the future of boxing with all these promotion companys coming up and looking to build their hareem in years to come. It can only be a good sign in my opinion. The more the better. Boxing is alive and will never die. **** off UFC :P

I may be wrong but that's just a general observation of how I see it.

Seriously, that would be a waste of money by Golden Boy...

I don't think Joe would be able to get by Jermain, if they managed to match punch for punch, Taylor looks the favorite. Taylor doesn't seem briddle enough to collapse under any kind of pressure if it's not strong and hurting pressure..

But I think Joe vs Chad Dawson would be a more equal match, especially after seeing Dawson show some weakness against Johnson. I think Calzaghes pressure would get to Chad. Dawson seems like a fighter easily thrown off.

The Dawson fight has to be his temptation though.

If Goldenboy can sign him for one fight and go after the Dawson bout for Joes last fight....I'd personally go for it if there was a profit.

Good business move on Joe's part. He may be retired or soon retiring, but he's still really young, and I'm sure he's looking to start building a foundation for the second phase of his boxing career.

Or they just promote themselves and when their career is over the promotional company is then over...Do they even have an office? Phone number?? a website??

Well I can see Joe signing Enzo Maccarinelli and possibly some of the other boys in his gym like Gavin Rees etc.

Frank Warren wont be very happy.

Those are mostly fronts from big name fighters to cut out a middle man and deal with HBO on there own.
