It Was So Obvious Taylor Was Lacy's Friend Tonite

jermaine is a class act man. he couldve got jeff outta there atleast 3-4 times every round.. every time he would put a combo on jeff that had him on his way out he would stop and pause or clinch him or let him gather himself. he couldve ended it in the first i know jermaine. when he smells blood he starts throwing all kinds of punches to the point of him even getting sloppy to try and kill a ***** and he did none of tht he did the total opposite. a true class act.

I think Taylor carried Lacy a little bit

Taylor seemed to hurt Lacy multiple times, but never turned on the gas...maybe that was because he didnt want to get gassed out like he did against Pavlik the first time around, but he even did it in the 12th where Lacy looked shaky quite a few times.
lets give Lacy credit though...the guy is tough as nails and has a ton of heart, if you havent figured that out already.

Taylor looked real good tonight. I like his new style...nothing special, but solid boxing. he looked pretty technically solid tonight, and a technically solid fighter with his physical attributes is pretty damn dangerous.

bad things? he needs to go to the body more often. his right hand is strange and he always throws it overhand...it works a lot because it gets over a high left hand, but he needs to shorten it up occasionally.

good things? defense looks solid, jab was outstanding, and he fought a very disciplined fight other than that 5th round.

I would love to see him fight Kessler or Calzaghe.

Jermain definitely didn't have the killer instinct tonight. Was very disappointed with his reluctance to keep attacking Lacy whenever he had him hurt.

If there's such a thing as an excuse for it, I hope it was because of their friendship, and not because he's scared to pull the trigger after round 2 of his first fight with Pavlik.

He could have EASILY finished Lacy tonight. I was impressed with his performance overall, except for this pretty significant complaint.

well i dont think so..he needed to look spectacular tonight, instead, he looked sloppy like he could be just a little better of a monodimensional 'i come in straight lounging in' Jeff Lacy with the help of too much holding. If he was his friend he had to stop him early instead of hitting him all those times (without having so much effect on him anyway). But i think he couldnt.

exactly josh. and when he hit him with the uppercut on 3 occasions he stopped to let him get settled. everyone who was with me said the same and my cousin called me like ''do you see this ****?!!'' he was mad until i told him they were friends and he was likeohhhhhhh i understand. the **** was blatantly obvious.
