    B******alk review of the fight

HAYE DECKS BARRETT FIVE TIMES IN FIVE-ROUND BRAWL

David Haye TKO5 Monte Barrett... Ex-world cruiserweight champion David Haye won an all-too-rare exciting heavyweight bout in London, stopping Monte Barrett in the fifth round at the 02 Arena. The first round had few meaningful blows, but Haye likely did just enough to get the nod (two judges and the referee were British, the third judge was French). In the second, Barrett tried to turn the bout into a New York City alley fight and landed a couple of solid punches, the only round Barrett won. Haye decked Barrett twice in the final minute of the third-- Barrett remained clear eyed, but his legs betrayed him while he tried to fight aggressively. Haye was credited with another two knockdowns in the fourth, but the first time it appeared that Barrett slipped down on a wild follow through rather than from a Hayemaker. The second time was a legitimate knockdown, as Haye landed a strong uppercut just before the bell. Things turned wilder in the fifth as Barrett knocked down Haye but the ref ruled it a slip, and took away a point from Barrett for hitting Haye while down. After Haye got a long breather from the ref, Haye put Barrett down for a fifth and final time, with a big comnination that convinced the ref to stop the fight while Barrett struggled to his feet. Vitali Klitschko was at ringside, indicating that Haye is likely to fight one of the Klitschko brothers for a heavyweight title next year. source: setanta

        They got it right.

One of Haye's knockdowns in the fourth wasn't a knockdown, Barrett missed with a haymaker and fell.

Barrett knocked Haye down in the fifth.
