I dunno how seriously to take this article. Team Calzaghe was always going to entertain the idea of another fight, and talk them over, review the offers, see which would be the best fight and deal. Doesn't mean their going to go agead with one, just fishing.

I would also prefer him to face Dawson but we can't always have what we want, especially in boxing. There's a lot of back room complications.

Dawson is not a big enough fight at the moment in the UK or the US. If we are talking about a UK based fight then a Froch vs Calzaghe fight would be bigger than a Dawson fight and make more money. In my opinion Dawson needs to beat a name like Hopkins before he can make this fight make sense. If not, the Froch fight brings more money to the table and is the bigger fight, maybe not in resume terms but most definately in the cash stakes.
