agreed. even though johnson is pretty fresh for a 39 year old people would discredit calzaghe for beating another older fight. dawson is a young lion and is the proven number 1 contender. his name would look great on calzaghe's résumé.

not saying joe has anything else to prove at this point, but if he wanted to continue fighting dawson is really the only name that makes sense.

I agree. Johnson would hurt his "legacy" more than it help. Even IF he beats Dawson, however, everyone will just say Dawson is "overrated" and will find some other fighter to say that Calzaghe is "ducking". But thats boxing. Problem is Calzaghe just did too little too late.
