These two are such nice guys, it's hard to imagine them putting friendship aside to make way for the killer instinct they'll need inside the ring. From what I've seen, I think Lacy will have less difficulty with that than Taylor will...

Funnily enough, the best thing that could happen to Jermain Taylor in this fight is getting caught hard... HARD... by Jeff in the first round. Just to wake him up to the fact that Jeff's not playing around.

We've all been goofing off with a friend when things got a little out of hand, someone gets hit for real and the other one just stares dumbfoundedly for a second, thinking, "I KNOW this mother****er didn't..." before hauling off and starting to kick some ass. Well, that's exactly what need to happen here.

for the loer of the fight i dont think it will be the end of his career, SMW is pretty well stocked at the minute and a victory would propel them into the big leagues and the big fights with the likes of kess, bute, pascal/froch.

for the loser however there is still hope there are alot of good figters in the SMW division that are also household names - manfredo jr, bika, inkin, andrade possibly even allan greene. the loser of this fight imo still has the potential to beat these household names. within a few years they could possibly be back in the mix and fighting for titles.

personally i think that taylor has it in him to win the fight, and could set up a unification fight with mikkel kessler.

Its good to see Taylor enjoying himself so much. he seemed so fed up with boxing when he was with Steward, those two just didnt seem to click together...kind of think Taylor actually went downhill with him.

now hes going back to his old training camps and everything, and has a positive attitude. always really liked the guy. hope the best for him.

I know some Calzaghe fans are going to boohoo about this comment, but I would love to see Taylor fight Calzaghe. now that would be an exciting matchup.

It's a sad day in this sport, when all Americans loved Jeff Lacy but then when someone as talented as Calzaghe dominates Jeff Lacy, alot of his fans turned there backs on him...

              Diego, I'm talking about you!

              thats called fair weather fans

and any top tier fighter would have done to jeff lacy what the slapper did...the damage would be done by anyone and the same result would ensue

It seems that these guys today go all to pieces after their first loss...Lacy was whomping everyone until Joe...ONE loss and he's fickle,,,,Same as Pavlik looked...These 2 are both very good, and neither should be edgey, or fickle due to one loss

I hope their friendship is more like that between Chris Byrd and Jameel McCline than Bones Adams and Kevin Kelley.
