*Ahem*
Well first of all, i take back what i said regarding European boxers. What i said was truly out of ignorance. There are highly trained and skilled European boxers that nobody has heard about, who probably can beat the piss out of American fighters.
Although i still am not a Calzaghe fan, i do have to admire and recognize his superior skill and determination (not to mention a perfect record) that he has exemplified. There's a saying in the states: "give props where props are due"
Secondly i do recognize that the UK has been a tremendous influence on the sport of boxing; as far as cultivating the art and grooming it to what it has become today.
I did my research and there are numerous UK boxers that have attributed to the sport and reached legendary status as well. (can't list them all)
I suppose that in the UK the reason why boxers don't get too much PR is because they're not enthralled by the money, which most; if not all yanks, hold to be the number one priority.
So i take back whatever i said regarding UK/European boxers. I'm pretty sure you are who you say you are, so i'm convinced that you know what you're talking about.
What can i say? I'm from America. Home of the caplitalist ignorant zombies.
