Because it's Thursday on basic cable. Standards aren't too high.

Plus all these guys have name recognition (even if it is from the Contender).

For being on basic cable on a Thursday this card is something to look forward too, this is a boxing site with boxing fans. I would think people would rather see this then American Idol.

This is Jaidon's first fight since a brutal KO loss and a long layoff. He needs to get his footing again.

The Dec 11th card could be real nice it also has a batamweight title scrap between Abegeko and some dude with 19 knockout in 21 wins. I also heard that Devon Alexander might fight on that card. 2 Title fights and Alexander fighting (although he would probably fight no one of note) would be a sick card for basic cable.

I was looking at boxrec. The fourth fight on the list is between a decent undefeated kid vs a guy with a record of 35-8 or so. It seems like 4 decent fight.

This looks like a great main even with two good undercards...

I wish Codrington was fighting a more suitable opponent...but it almost appears as if even the K9 fight is a tune-up/stay busy fight as well.

Decently known names among boxing fans and its on for free (to anyone who has cable)...so who can complain?

This is WAY better than some of the cards in years past.

even winky wright, james toney, and andre ward are going to be on versus...and earlier they had the hatton and paulie tune-up fights...

Versus is DEFINATELY taking this sport in the right direction on free tv...espn would provide lots of fights in general but usually prospects that arent even real prospects yet...Versus is working on the casual fan by including guys like hatton, paulie, toney, wright; etc.

im so happy about this i cant wait to see tonights card.

Lame opponent for Codrington even if his last fight was a loss to bika.

With the main event and the co-main being so evenly matched, there probably wasn't any budget to bring in a real threat for Jaidon. No one would fight Jaidon for cheap, he has too much hype behind him.
