Mtagwa-Villa may get my vote but the fighters aren't significant enough to actually win. Plus, I doubt too many people saw it. Vasquez-Marquez is just as deserving although I liked the ending in Mtagwa-Villa better.

How the hell is Margarito-Cotto winning this poll? Vazquez Marquez III is miles better.

Marquez-Vasquez III. It was competitive with great action for the entire 12 rounds. Cotto-Margarito was basically a one-sided fight the first 1/2 and the second 1/2 just became a matter of when or if Cotto was going to break. A great fight nonetheless.

            Vazquez-Marquez 3

Fight was great and the winner was decided in the last 8 seconds.... literally.

Note: With so much expectation (and with the high stakes on the line) there was many speculation whether Vazquez-Marquez 3 would be as good as the other two fights.... Not only was just as good but many people thought it was better.

Thus leading to one of the best all time trilogies.

Margartio v. Cotto is my choice for fight of the year...

vasquez v. marquez III is close second

and every other fight this year is a DISTANT third.

                    I still haven't seen Mtagwa-Villa.
even rocky juarez vs jorge barrios was better than katsidis casamayor, in my opinion

I enjoyed Margarito-Cotto but I didn't think it was as entertaining as Vasquez-Marquez III or Mtagwa-Villa.
