But he is known for rooting out HW prospects like he did with Guinn, Fields and Beck. He has been in with guys like Wlad, Valuev, Rahman and if Haye beats him better than they did or more importantly if he can take Barretts power then it atleast shows he can take modest bombs to the face.

It's a measureing stick when moving up in weight, most fighters do it. Even Floyd fought Mitchell to test his waters at 147 before taking on the big fighters. Haye wants to fight Wlad next year that's a big step up, not many fighters want to take a risk and prefer to fight safety first to a title.

Good points but I think even Mitchell - as faded as he was - was probably a better test for Floyd than Barrett for Haye.

That said, who else can Haye fight that would be a threat/nice HW debut? I hear Kevin Johnson is improving but the last time I saw him I wasn't impressed at all.

When Haye take on Wlad in 09, you better be ready to witness your hero cowering in the corner pleading with the ref stop the fight or for Emanuel Steward to throw in the towel.

On Saturday everyone will be saying THE HAYEMAKER HAS ARRIVED!!!

many are thinking haye is going to be the littler faster man.
theyre both the same heighth and same reach but barrett is old and washed up. barrett always fights around 220:

but barrett has a punchers chance. i can see haye maybe getting into the crowd and being a wise ass; hands down potshotting.
barrett was able to leap a long way to ko fields!
