Not strictly correct....
He didn't do it to Calzaghe, becuase he knew he was gunna get it handed to him.
He did it to Pavlik because is one dimensional and he knew he could get away with it.Leave a comment:

Hopkins fought the same way he always fights what are you talking about. The only difference was that he was far more active simply because Kelly WASN'T.Leave a comment:

Hopkins was a bigger fuller fighter that night. His shots were a lot heavier, and Kelly had no idea that Bernard would fight the way he did. Hopkins didnt come to clinch or run in that fight.Leave a comment:

I keep watching the Pavlik/Hopkins fight. As disappointing as Pavlik's performance was, one thing that really showed was he toughness. The guy got rocked with flush power shots like 200 times and he never really got hurt. He just kept coming forward. His skill is questionable, but this guy is as tough as nails.
Now if he can just work on getting some snap to his jabs so we can't see them coming from a mile away...
He kept coming forward? After being rocked for a couple rounds he literally stopped punching because he was done and afraid to throw a single punch from all the damage he was taking.
But you're right Hopkins beat him like a rented Mule that's for sure.

Yeah, and people say he has a below average chin too. Pavlik isn't above a 160 fighter and Hop put on quite a show that night to boot. Pavlik will cement himself at MW and the loss will serve as nothing more than a learning experience. A few added trainers will definitely be in order for when he moves up to SMW.Leave a comment:
