Question regarding the calzaghe fight

When calzaghe got knocked down in the 1st round it seemed to me the ref was very quick in his count.
i was under the impression that the referee didn't start the 10 count until the other boxer is in the mutual corner.
in this fight the ref ushered rjj into the corner then started his count from 4..

Maybe he was counting in his head?

What difference does it make though?

The count starts from the moment they hit the floor.

The timekeeper informs the ref what the count is when he turns back round to the downed fighter.

I don't think the count was quick, seemed pretty fair to me.

What is a mutual corner? They have neutral corners.

The count picks up where the ringside official counting with the claps takes off.
