Obviously Bert has a old school frame of mind. He prefers the older fighters who have fought over 80 or 90 bouts in their career.

He put Ali way down the list and put guys with 100 fight careers above him, that tells you all. Duran is in the top 10, yet Sugar Ray Leonard is all the way down in 25.

But that's the fun about debating ATG's, everybody has a different criteria.

I was surprised by a few, such as Ezzard Charles being so high, I'd think he should be lower (toward 1).

        I agree.

Yeah, there are plenty of fighters on that list who should be significantly higher than they are IMO.

I don't think Marcel Cerdan should be in the top 25.

I always thought he was more of a 'what if'...

Not that he didn't have a great career but what if he had not died in a planecrash and would've fought LaMotta in a rematch?

i dont go by what idiots like Sugar dictate. According to him Jake La Motta is a better middleweight than Marvin Hagler. Why? because Jacko handed Robinson his first loss, when Ray was outweighed by some 15 pounds. And because he got his way with Marcel Cedan who was fighting with an injury.

This has to be an old list cuz Floyd aint on it. And Roy and Bernard should be higher.
