    Corrales vs. Paquiao at 135

I brought this topic up in another thread and people had intresting things to say about it, I personally can't think of another fantasy match I rather see. How do you think the fight would go? I got Corrales by K.O., I think his power would be too much.

if he's weight drained, he's gettin knocked out, if he's comfortable, he's winning a decision

Pacquiao's style would give Corrales a lot of trouble, speed and movement work well against Corrales but it's hard to say how well Pacquiao would do against someone as big and tall as Corrales.

Pac don't box, well the 130 didn't, the 135 he learned to box and could given Corrales problems, but at 130 Pac comes to Corrales and gets plastered.

Whilst Corrales did struggle with speed I feel it was more the elusiveness that got him. Pac is not that elusive. I agree with the threadstarter, I think Corrales would have gotten to Pac too often with big shots and would have eventually stopped him. Would be a terrific fight though.

I got Chico by a 7th or 8th round TKO.

Pac's speed and angles would give him problems, but since we're talking about 130lbs Pac, and not 135lbs Pac, his boxing skills wouldn't be as good as they are today.

Ontop of that I just don't think Manny could hang with Chico's power or size.

Corrales just gets hit to dam much. I'm watchin his fight with Casamayor now, its just that if you give Chico ANY KIND OF OPENING he WILL take advantage of it

Here's one thing that concerns me...

Corrales seemed to have more trouble than anything with the left hand of his opponent.

Mayweather put him down 4 times with left hooks.

Castillo knocked him down twice in the first fight with left hooks and KO'd him in the rematch with a left hook.

Casamayor put Corrales down numerous times with straight lefts, and also punched a hole in his lip with a straight left that ended the fight.

Pacquiao's primary weapon is a super fast straight left.

For that reason, along with the stellar chin Manny Pacquiao has shown, I think he likely beats Corrales on a stoppage.
