Jeff Lacy IS NOT OVERRATED!!!!

He almost got knocked out his last fight, too, and should have lost a close fight I thought. He's simply not had a good performance since beating up on Reid and Pemberton.

Watching his old fights, I don't really see why he was considered the SMW Tyson. His style and wearing down of opponents was much more reminiscent of Joe Frazier, but that comparison would be gone by the wayside too considering his recent fights.

He used to be overrated, but he definitely isn't anymore. If anything, people are so hung up over this "overrated" thing, that they are starting to underrate him.

Do people seriously think he is going to struggle to go 5 rounds with Taylor? Taylor is a better fighter, but isn't SOOOO much better that he is going to completely outclass and destroy Jeff Lacy.

Is a 5th round KO possible? yea it is, but not because Lacy is THAT bad.

I got Taylor via late stoppage, possibly a decision

i dont think Taylor is taking out Lacy,Taylor is not a huge puncher he struggled to get 154lbs fighters outta there and Lacy has a decent chin imo i know Calzaghe slaps but he was hit with hard shots and he stood up to it

Mendoza can actually crack so allthough Lacy was in trouble a few times he still go through it and showed a decent chin and heart

I think Lacy was hurt by Vitali Tysco as well. I know Mendoza is a hard puncher but he hit Dawson with a hard counter right uppercut and he walked right through it. I guess its the punch you do see is what gets you.

Lacy got retired 2 years ago. Shot before he even reached his prime.

Taylor's not a HUGE puncher, but he's got enough power to get a stoppage on Lacy.

Most of Taylor's stoppages have come from overwhelming lesser opponents with crap defense... Lacy could definitely end up being in this category.

He hasn't gotten a KO for almost 4 years due to who he's been paired against... guys he couldn't hit flush; Hopkins, Wright, Spinks... the exceptions being Pavlik and Ouma, and he almost KO'd Pavlik in the 2nd round of their first fight, and Ouma was hit with EVERYTHING in their fight but has a granite chin and has never been knocked out.

Lacy, like Daniel Edouard (Taylor's last TKO) is going to be there for the taking. As long as Taylor protects himself so that he doesn't get caught with anything big, and lets his hands go, I can see a TKO before 10.

jeff lacy sucks and will get his ass kicked by taylor come staurday....end of story....he will never be a star in boxing let alne anything else....off course another overrated boxer would be joe calzaghe....ighting roy jones 6 yrs ago would have ended his career!

now you're underating taylor...have you seen lacy lately against c class fighters?this guy is not good at all..strong as an ox??? hell yea..but a good boxer? hell no...taylor has only fought world class comp the last 3 years..
