Roy was dangerous for 6 or so rounds.

Yeah I had Joe ahead by 1 point through 6 and thought Roy was landing some decent shots. The cut didn't help but I still think Joe would almost have swept the last 6 anyway.
I think thats a little generous.... I gave Jones the first and the third round, yes he was competitive but single shots and the odd flurry dont win you a round. I thought he was conserving energy (in the way hopkins does) and his countering was effective until he ran out of steam and became a sitting duck.

I thought Calazaghes show boating was disrespectful to be honest, Jones is a future hall or famer and Joe shouldnt forget that. he has whinged long enough about not getting the credit he deserves (and he does deserve it). But you dont disrespect another man in the ring like that. Jones should be given alot of credit for getting through twelve when a lesser fighter would have used the cut as an excuse to quit.

I think mine was the same..
Obviously the first 10/8 and then Roy also had a good second round 10/9
And then like you said everything else for Joe..
And round 7 was a big round for joe also..

agreed....I gave Roy Jones round 2, but I need to watch it again because I was cheering for jones and still hadn't came down completly from the rush after the knock down, There is a possability I might have been biased. After that I couldn't find a round to give to Roy.

rjj got beat down because he's shot and didn't get KTFO because Calzaghe has no power

I gave Roy obvious the 1st, and I gave him the 2nd. But he was competitive in rounds 3,4,5,6. An he nailed Joe with a beauty of an uppercut in what was it round 7?

After the cut he got clowned, outworked, outfought and outclassed. His legs could neither put him in a position to deliver a telling punch or avoid being flurried on,.

Yeh jones was still in the fight for sure from up till 7th i can remember the uppercut but not the round it was in..
I thought the 7th was a dominating round for Joe.
The round where he cut jones and came close to maybe stopping him at one point...

I dont get why people keep saying that, all Calzaghe did was mimic what Jones had done to other fighters his whole career by showboating. So Jones is a future HOF, so is Trinidad and that didn't stop Jones from showboating even though Trinidad was fighting at a new weight and had been away from the ring for 2 1/2 years. If Jones had been dominating Calzaghe in the fashion Calzaghe was dominating him, Jones would have showboated the same way. Maybe Joe did take it over board but who's to say.
