I went into the fight hating Joe, and hating on him, calling him a b*tch and a ***g*t. I hated him because he was a Brit and they are ALL hyped up, I hated on him because he SLAPPED and hand picked old fighters. I hated on him because I didn't like the idea of Joe fighting a legend aka Jones, him fighting one of my favourite all time boxers, fighting a man who was pound for pound incredible at one time, because deep down I knew he'd embaress Jones like he done on Saturday night and as an American I don't like being embaressed by ****in Brits. As soon as Joe got ko'd in round 1, I cheered the ****in house down, I thought yes he's down and out. But as time passed and Joe outclassed a legend in Jones, I realised how good he actually is. Jones was past it, but so is Joe. Joe was quicker and more powerful 10 years ago than he is now, I'd hate to think what Joe would have done over here if he was recognised sooner in his life. The same feelings were in me when he beat Hopkins and when he outclassed Lacy, heck I even wanted Joe to get ****ed up by Kessler and was so positive that Kessler would finally take his 0 and kick his ass I sat in shock for 45 mins straight after the fight just staring at the damn wall.
Well, time has come where I've realised, Joe is the closest man to surpass Rocky Marciano's 49-0. It's come to the point where I've watched reruns of Joe's fights and seen him outclass, outwit and outwork EVERY opponent he's had. It isn't just luck, it's class. It isn't just fraud, it's skill. It isn't just experience, it's years of dedication and hardwork. I hated on him because he was a Brit and the idea of a Brit taking over USA; our land, our empire, our soil... was simply too heartbreaking. But I've come to realise that Joe is truly a great fighter, I'm sorry for calling him a **** fighter, a fraud, and even said he was not worthy of a HOF status, because he does. He's had an incredible career, he's fought fighters we expected to CRUSH him, but they couldn't. Instead they were embaressed.
Sorry. Sorry for being an ass.
But that doesn't change the fact I hate on Brits, Joe is the only fighter I'm willing to accept over here in USA because his record is simply outstanding.
I'm going out, see ya'll later.
