Im a Calzaghe fan who rates RJJ as a legend. I also rate Floyd as a legend too. I even rate Hopkins as a legend - despite Hopkins the human being being a total c*nt. Im Welsh, and im white and i dont care what colour Joes detractors are, they are just ignoring the simplest of truths.
Hopkins v Calzaghe went like this - both fighters came to fight but one of them retreated into his shell as soon as he realised that the other was NOT going to be stopped. Joe was tagged with a real beauty and just got up as if nothing had happened - one of the best chins the sport has ever seen.
Hopkins will NEVER get over this defeat because he cant watch repeats without being deeply ashamed. His antics dragged boxing into the gutter on the night, and for an all-time great, he fought like a coward.
Hopkins NEEDS another go at Joe to try and redeem himself. Even if he comes out and fights against Joe and loses, he will at least of calmed the demons raging within.
Hopkins deserves NOTHING from Calzaghe - he had his shot, and blew it spectacularly. Its ridiculous to say that he won the fight with more accurate punching, because he threw leather only once in a blue moon - he spent the rest of the time holding and hiding.
Calzaghe made Hopkins look a C*nt and for that, BHOP will never ever forgive him.
So why give Hopkins a rematch when the only person who can possibly gain anything from it is Hopkins himself, win or lose!
