I guess what I'm trying to say is, their weak, mentally weak. No heart. My man AA fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw and he broke that jaw two other places because he fought those 8 rounds. Do you ever think Mayweather or RJJ, as "ATG's" would ever do that? I know here in the US the doctors would have stopped it, but do you see either one with enough mental toughness to be able to do that? I mean I see B-Hop doing it, I saw Pac-Man doing it, I see JMM doing it, ALI did it, you get my drift..............Comment

And they'll game plan will crumble. Jones was doing really good in the first two rounds and he gets hit with a couple of nice shot from Zalghe and he can't do **** anymore. And don't tell me his stamina was gone because RJJ in round 2 was a totally different RJJ in round 4.
Now when it comes to Mayweather, in all his fights I've seen Mayweather get "ruffed up" (as hit flush with a couple of NICE shots) twice.
Castillo (first fight) won SD
DLH won SD
What I'm trying to say is aren't they too finess for "ATG" boxers? I mean Calzaghe gets KD'd by both Hopkins and RJJ and he comes back better in the ladder rounds (I thought B-hop won), JMM was down three times in the first w/ Pac-Man and he came back to get a draw (I thought JMM won)
Mayweather beat Castillo by UD.
De La Hoya barely landed any of those shots that he flurried with if you watch it in slow motion. Mayweather cleared the 130 lb division up beating the best of the best at that division at that time, then moved up to 135 won a belt, 140 won a belt, 147 won 2 belts, and 154 won a belt, and regardless of what he says hes still not done. Your saying Calzaghe is more of a candidate to be a ATG because hes been dropped and got up and been tough in the eyes of diversity? Mayweather has never been knocked down due to another opponent's punch. One KD in his career and that wasnt even from a punch, it was due to him hurting his hands.Last edited by PrettyBoyFloyd7; 11-11-2008, 10:59 AM.Comment

Calzaghe and RJJ are of the same mold... great athleticism. Once Calzaghe's speed / stamina is gone he'll get whupped.Comment

Firstly. If you think Floyd Jr. is any kind of mentally weak. You are a fucking moron.
And lastly. You know **** about the sport if you really think the mental or stylistic approaches of Jones Jr. and Floyd Jr. are comparable in any way.
And don't forget Abraham wanted to quit and retain his belt. It was only when he knew he couldn't pull that **** that he wanted to fight on.
Worthless bull**** thread.
Fuckouttahere. Pathetic, clueless cheerleader.Comment

Mayweather has been hit with some very nice shots against Jesus Chavez, Emmanuel Augustus, Demarcus Corley, Zab Judah, and others. However, in all of these fights, especially against Augustus, Chavez, and Corley, Mayweather stood in there with them and traded blow for blow.
Roy is a different story, I think that at any point in his career he would have lost to both Glen Johnson and Joe Calzaghe. Roy is not at all a technically sound fighter. And it really showed in his last fight. To be honest, he looked very amateurish in how he depended so much almost exclusively on the right hand and did not know how to fight in the pocket. When Joe came inside to trade, Roy didn't know at all what to do except cover up. He also doesn't throw in combination. He especially didn't understand to throw combination and not one punch at a time when he had Joe in trouble. Instead, he just loaded up the right hand that most good fighters could see coming.
Floyd has shown that he can fight from the outside, in the pocket, and at mid range and still be effective.
Seeing this, it's hard to see them being in the same class of fighter.Comment
