Listen, mentally weaker of the two is definetly Roy. But when you say "JLC was landing well, thats why Mayweather had trouble" this is exactly what I'm saying. IMO Mayweather has fought very good opponents and won each and every one. My only problem with Mayweather is he didn't fight Margarito or Cotto. Other than that...............................he's a finess fighter, but A PRODUCTIVE ONE. Shot me for my opinion.

That's how boxing works. If your guy is hitting you, you are having a problem by definition. Did Mayweather stop throwing or go in a shell? No! So where is the mental weakness.

Also WTF is a "finess" fighter? And a "productive finess" fighter?

this is what I'm trying to say............

If Mayweather got KTFD in the first round of a fight, would he have to the will, the mental power to get up and win the rest of the fight?

          My opinion is No, why?

Because he hasn't had that inital shock (which is credit to him, which is way its productive), but if that inital shock was every to happen I don't think he would handle it well because of his finess style. 4-5 punch combo and run, he doesn't have to head-head, punch for punch style, therefore if he was forced to fight that way (JLC I and DLH) his performance would decrease. Now since performance would decrease because of that, what would happen if he got KD'd???????

I gotta ask, are you saying that none of today's top welters are "natural" welterweights? Cotto, Margarito, Berto, Clottey, Williams, Cintron all put on 13+ pounds regularly.
Thats exactly what I'm saying. There are very few natural fighters in their weight class.

If Floyd could have made 140, he would have fought Hatton at 140. That would have given him 2 Ring belts at the same time.

He couldn't though. Dropping weight once you hit your 30s isn't as easy as doing it in your 20s.

How was he forced to fight punch for punch in those fights? That's bull****. You are basing your point on bull****. None of those fights had a high output.

The fighters who forced him to fight punch for punch were Chavez, Augustus and to some degree Hatton. Against Judah and Corley he chose to fight that way because it was his best option, but he was not forced to.

Too bad the only news we have about that one is that Hatton didnt want the fight at 140, so he would keep the belt if he lost.

                    me biased??

You base your argument on the premise that Mayweather was forced to fight punch for punch against Oscar and Castillo.

The premise is false. And brings about an easy answer, look what avtually happened when MAyweather was forced, or even chose to, fight punch for punch.
