    Chin up Roy fans!

Wow, i'm reading these threads and it looks like the realization is setting in. Fans of RJ have nothing to be sad about. These things happen. Roy is one of the greatest fighters of all time. Unfortunately, a lot of great fighters come this this sort of end. I went through it with Tyson. Wipe away the tears.

Boxing can be brutal. No other sport is like this. For example any team sport, yeah they can get whooped but there is always next year, always hope that your team can get better. Not with boxing. Your favorite fighter gets KTFO and that could be a wrap.

And as far as individual players in team sports, they can run the bases for the last time or get a standing ovation from the crowd as they leave the field. Not always the case in boxing!!

I think it was the HBO Tale of the Tape with Lewis vs. Tyson where one guy said he never watched the fight because he wanted to remember Tyson as he was. I think many of us should have taken his advice. It's also why I avoid seeing my favorite Women crushes from when I was a kid; I don't want to see what they look like now.

Its not like we can doing anything about it, like you said it happens to all people. Dawson won't fight for enternity. Everyone has their time...nothing lasts forever, although I wish it did.
