I think Holyfield should retire due to the the fact he well past his prime. I honestly believe he has a shot to beat Nikolai Valuev. Even though his reaction time slower, he still has far better movement than Valuev. As long as he boxes in burst and doesn't try to slug it out with the big man he got a shot. This fight says a lot more about the horrible state of the heavyweight postion than it does anything. But let Holyfield have one more shot at title and then let him walk out into the sunset.

Holyfield got his ears boxed off by James Toney in 2003 which is bad but no disgrace but in his next fight in 2004 he was comprehensively beaten by Larry Donald now that sends alarm bells ringing for me its not like he looked good in the fight but lost either he looked awfull and was getting hit with every punch in the book

Hoyfield relied on his workrate and counter punching to win fights in his prime but he is old and shot now and he does not have the reactions, speed to time people to counter effectively and he does not have Ko power and never has had

I just hope he loses safely. If he won he would go for a unification with one of the Klitschkos. That would terrible.

Anyone see Holyfield/Oquendo? He was beaten badly by Oquendo and they gifted a win to him. That's what started his ridiculous title shot against Ibragimov. Man this sport is corrupt.

this will be stopped within 9 rounds, Evander cant take the punishment anymore and hes so slow even Valuev will pick him off, I shudder to think what one of the Klitschko's would do to him at this stage.

Look, we all know Evander is shot and should've retired years ago. We know he's a warrior and he's risking his health even further with every fight that passes.

But the man himself is comfortable with these choices. And even though I do feel bad watching him continue to fight, I've got to support him because so very few do.

                    WAR EVANDER!!!!!!

                      This fight shouldn't be happening.

But since it is anyway, I'm rooting for Evander to somehow pull the upset and win a decision! It's unlikely - but not impossible, since Nicolay is slow-moving.
