Joe Calzaghe vs Chad Dawson who wins?

If I was Calzaghe I'd retire. Say he books to fight Dawson and Taylor beats Lacy earlier than Calzaghe did. So then everyone will be saying that Taylor beat Hopkins too, so mabye he ought to face Taylor. Then when he UDs Taylor, everyone will be saying that he couldnt beat Taylor as convincingly as Pavlik, so then he'll have to fight Pavlik. By the time he schools Pavlik the comparisons will be about whether it was as convincing as Hopkins' victory over Pavlik and of course everyone remembers with this ridiculously blinkered hindsight that Hopkins didnt completely tire out and lose the last 9 rounds about Calzaghe, so he'll have to wheel Hopkins from the retirement home and beat him again. By this point Calzaghe will be 40+ himself and there'll be another new up and comer on the way he'll have to fight and if he does, he was green anyway so not really worth it from a legacy point of view. If he doesnt, then nobody will accept the fact that he was too old and shot when Hopkins was able to do it into his 40s. blah blah ****ing blah.

I think Calz will win because he's got a funky style and Dawson is in the mold of RJJ and Hopkins except he has less skills.

that said, just because i think calz will win doesn't mean that he shouldn't fight Dawson should he continue his career.

Naw. I fully expect JT to beat Lacy earlier than Calzaghe did. I think JT will win by KO but JT's not a light heavyweight. He just got to 168 so that's where he will stay.

Dawson is the last man standing at light heavyweight AND he just happens to be the guy who I think can beat Joe. And this isn't any new revelation to me, I've thought he could take Joe for awhile. After being involved in that dogfight with Glen Johnson, I'm now 100% sure. Because he's fought that fight where he's had to dig down and get it. Great learning experience.

There's no one else. But NO. Calzaghe doesn't owe anyone the fight with Dawson. I can give credit where credit is due.
