I thought I remember reading HBO approved Rahman and were going to show it, but maybe that is up in the air. I don't really care though. I can watch it streamed from Germany or wherever. I'd almost rather HBO didn't show it just as an intergrity stance. I mean, I know it is the best Wlad could do all things considered, but it is still a garbage fight. It is a matchup between a widely considered boring and a washed up maybe never really was fighter. If it was any other weight class the fight wouldn't even be considered.

HBO made no mention of it on Sat when talkin about upcoming fights, and its not on Showtime website although there is a fight on Showtime for that date. I hate internet streams.

if the fight is still scheduled for december (not sure if they pushed it back or not due to the replacement), then its not going to be on hbo, but if they moved it forward then there is a chance it may be on hbo.

It will be broadcast in Germany by RTL.

Some sources (ie BoxRec schedule) say it will be shown by HBO, some say it will not.

It's not on the HBO website though, so probably not. I'm hoping that Showtime will decide to show it. If Setanta shows it, we'll likely have a sportinwood stream to watch over here in North America.

I wonder whats the problem with Wlad. I mean, Maskaev vs. Rahman was somehow a ppv...and Ibragimov vs. Holyfield, Briggs and some bum were also ppvs(who the hell would pay to watch Sultan?)...and yet Wlad cant even get an HBO showing? what the hell. they could have made it an undercard or something, jackasses.

They were plugging the fight with Povetkin and it on their schedule, must be still finalizing details with a new opponent...Rahman will draw better ratings than Povetkin so I can't imagine HBO doesn't want it...

I doubt HBO passes on this fight. Like the guy above said with Rahman as the opponent HBO will have better ratings.
