he manages to cut people? RJJ and Lacy both had some pretty serious damage to their faces, whilst i dont think Joe has the heaviest of hands, all of this "slap" talk has now been dis-proved purely by the damage his culminate punches cause? i am sure the Americans wont agree with this but i feel is is only fair Joe gets the credit he is due....
If Joe is such a slapper, how come.....

For the record though his slapping wasnt that bad in the jones fight
He looked to be punching full on... -
He slaps a lot to protect his hands and increase his workrate, but he'll mix in hard shots at times in with the slapping shots.
He also probably has fairly heavy hands anyway, so he can throw a lot of slaps and arm punches but still the damage will build with the activity.Comment

lol,,,I love the double standard here. lewis landed the heavy punches on vitali becuase of the cutsComment

not by me.
i associate heavy punches by the recepient getting stunned , hurt , knocked down or out.
heavy punches can 'cause a cut but that doesn't necessarily mean a punch that caused a cut is a heavy punch.
grazing punches can cause a cut sometimes. just depends on how the gloves impact the skin not on how hard it is.Comment

You ask Roy Jones if any of the proper punches Calzaghe put into him (the body punches that he sat down on) were hard or not. Cos I saw Jones who never had any problems with body work utterly spent because he'd been ripped to the body so much.Comment

This I will agree with Joe landed some really good body shots.Comment
