If Joe beats Dawson and the Kessler/Bernard winner again, he will be one of the Best of All-time. Then he gets put in the same breath as the Louis', and Robinson's, and the Ali's, and the Armstrong's, and the Leonard's. He would be rated higher than Floyd, Roy and Bernard. But Dawson needs to get some hype with him, because he is not a draw.

it's because he prefaced it by stating "retired undefeated and STAYED retired."

If Floyd stays away from the game through 2009, then I'm sure most will finally believe he's retired. Until then, it's still an extended break.

Maybe if Floyd hadn't "retired" so many times in the past, his current getaway would be met with less hesitation.

Floyd's at least lasted a lot longer than Jeff Lacy did.

Calzaghe retiring for good is even less believable than Floyd retiring for good. He will be back, draw 50,000+ in the UK for a big money fight or two and then retire. Let's just hope it's sooner rather than later. I don't want to wait until August '09 to see this ****.

dawson is the last guy standing at 175, that is why he should fight him. there is no one else.

Joe should not retire, but he should take next year off, or give Bernard a rematch if he can take out Dawson or Kessler.
