If you picked RJJ, then you should retire from Boxingscene.

Which is why, along with my picking Hopkins being a loyalty bet, it was also a smart bet. Picking Roy, like people said, strictly a loyalty bet. I really didn't think he would win the fight, but IF HE DID, I wanted to have the advantage to say I told you so as well.
I still believe that Roy would beat Joe to a pulp back in 2002, there's no doubt.Comment

Do you have time-machine to go back in time and tell roy to sign the contract that joe offered him? Or is it still sinking in that Calzaghe won last night when you and others thought roy would and even bet users on it.Comment

I picked RJJ to win, and I created the thread asking for all the posters to sign their name if they thought he could do it.
Yeah, it's a good lesson to not let your heart rule over your head. I don't just mean in terms of wrong predictions or losing e-points - having more realistic expectations would have made the defeat a little more easier to take.
Funny thing was, I was actually pretty disappointed when the fight was made, thinking Roy was shot. But with Bernard winning, I thought maybe...just maybe he could do it. Another factor is that I don't rate Calzaghe as a fighter, and last night didn't alter my perception much. So I thought even a diminished but motivated RJJ could pull it off.
I was never hugely confident, but at times, I did believe he could maybe do it.
I was wrong, of course. RJJ was more shot than I thought. Boxers can't just turn back the clock, no matter how much they, and we, might want to.Comment

Ahahahaa, yeah man. That was one of the main reasons I created the thread backing Roy. I mean, if he somehow did it, imagine being the THREADSTARTED to that predicition?
I would have gone down in Boxing Scene Hall of Fame, first ballot, no question.Comment
