I was wrong about Calzaghe.

For a long while now i've been doing nothing but ****ing Calzaghe off for being this and for being that but after last night, i have to admit i was wrong. He was quality and was annoyingly good, even the showboating was Roy like(even though he OTT on it!).

I reckon my hate for him came to the boil when he signed to fight Roy, and me being a Roy Jones nuthugger, i wanted to believe Roy could turn back the clock. But even more annoying was the fact i knew Joe was in a strong position to beat Roy and put another nail in his coffin and as a big Roy Jones fan, that's a real hard pill to swallow! Hence the reason why i took it out on Calzaghe.

You could say am bitter(which i was) but Roy was one of my childhood heroes(still is) but the way the fight panned out last night for Roy, i nearly cried my ****ing eyes out. He was brave but a shell of his former self. It was real hard to watch and coming on here didn't help but **** happens.

Anyway, well done Calzaghe! You deserved it and you've proved me wrong.

Right, am off to find a white cliff to jump off LOL!

Doode you beat me to it... I was going to post basically what you said...I still can't stand Calzaghe but after seeing what I saw I have much more respect for the man. I have never liked the guy. Even now I could make a case that RJJ and B Hop are great fighters past their prime and Calzaghe is the benefactor of being at the right place at the right time but bottom line is he beat them pretty convincingly...at least he did Roy in bad...my dislike for Calzaghe is still there…I still hope they make the mandatory Dawson fight happen and I still hope Dawson kicks the **** out of him…but as much as it pains me to say this I have to admit that unless that happens Calzaghe is still the champ and is still undefeated…I can’t hate on that…
